Eight-year-old Sally is sitting by the tree on Christmas morning by her mountain of just-opened presents. Her parents now in the kitchen, she’s gushing all over her new things and checking them out.
She puts down her new American Girl doll, picks up her new Tablet and asks, “Okay Google! Is Santa Claus real?”
Halfway down her first page, Sally finds a link to an article named ‘How to break it to your kids that Santa Claus is not real.’
Sally’s eyebrows draw close together making a huge knot at the bridge of her tiny nose. Scrolling the pages, more of the links admitting more bad news. She’s seen too much, she is heartbroken. She throws her tablet across the room, it bounces off the fireplace mantle halfway back to her; with a cracked screen.
From the kitchen mom announces, “Okay Sally! It’s time to start getting ready for church!”
